emerald cut engagement rings
An emerald cut diamond is an enchanted diamond shape because of its unique faceting pattern unlike the majority of diamond shapes. Their slender shape is said to lengthen the fingers, making them appear more slender, while giving off the look of a bigger diamond.
Early emerald cut diamonds were first developed as a way to showcase the captivating clarity characteristics within an emerald gemstone. Emerald cut stones are optimal for enhancing the colour in a coloured gemstone or diamond because of their larger top-view.
The step-cut faceting technique of an emerald cut diamond gives it what the industry calls a “hall of mirrors” effect. The faceting arrangement causes light to bounce off one another creating elegant sparkle.
